Scandic Grand Central - Room 4057

Scandic Grand Central is situated in the heart of Stockholm city and close to shopping, restaurants and Arlanda Express. Many of Stockholm’s most know attractions as “Gamla Stan”, the Royal castle and Vasamuseet are within walking distance.
The building is 130 years old and the hotel opened recently as a Scandic hotel. It’s a big hotel with many rooms and long hallways and there are many different types of room to choose from. The one I stayed in was a King Room.

At the working space you had the option to connect your PC/DVD etc. to the TV, a lot of different plug ins was available.

A big LCD TV at the end of the bed.

In the bathroom there was soap, shampoo and conditioner (not very often) and of course a hair dryer.

Scandic Copenhagen - Room 1455

Scandic Copenhagen is situated downtown, close to the central railway station and only 2 mins from Stroeget shopping street. All 18 floors have been undergoing a major refurbishment which was completed June 2012. The view from the rooms on the highest floor is magnificent, this is the view from my room on the 14th floor (overlooking the city and in the far distance you can see the bridge to Sweden)

The room is quiet big and besides the working space there was a small seating area close to windows, where you could enjoy a book and the view over the city:

In the room was an iron board, a small safety box and hair dryer. A LCD tv with Danish and international TV-channnels.

The bathroom was equipped with shower and soap dispensers

The wireless is always free of charge at Scandic :) - which a lot of other hotels could learn from.

The bed was 1 1/2 size and the room sufficient for a short stay and 1 person. WiFi is offered free of charge.

The bathroom with shower, small bottles of shampoo/bodylotion/soap and a hairdryer.
The hotel restaurant Latino serves Mediterranean specialities and delicious homemade pasta - a pasta dish costs around CHF 23.-

Holiday Inn (Vantaa Airport) - Room 387

The hotel is situated close to Helsinki airport and there's a shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel. It's a larger hotel, so plenty of rooms to choose from, mine was 387 on the 3rd floor.

Coffee/thé facilities, a nice service to offer to customers while you have to pay for the wireless internet.
The room seemed recently refreshed and the interior decoration was light and pleasant. No iron board in the room, you have to go to ground floor to iron.

In the bathroom you can find soap dispenser and a hairdryer.

A fitness room at your disposal located on the ground floor. Cardio machines and fitness equipment, so no excuse not to excercise.

Park Inn (Solna) - Room 925

This hotel is situated in Solna Centrum (shopping center), very convenient with so many shops nearby and you don't have to go outside to shop(amok). The entrance to the hotel is in the middle of the shopping center which includes grocery and clothing shops, restaurants and many others options.

My room was on the 9th floor and this was view.

A nice big room with seating area and coffee/the facilities...

... and a small desk. In the room you could also find a mini-bar and iron/ironing board.
In the bathroom there's a hand soap dispenser, some shampoo and a shower cap ;)

2 very useful things I appreciate is a powerful hairdryer and a make-up mirror.

Tulip Inn - Room 214

The hotel is situated in the province Limburg in the southeastern Netherlands. It's close to the highway E34 with a petrol station just opposite and a McDonald close by. You have to pay for the wireless internet 15€ for 24 hours (pr. April 2012), which I don't understand isn't included in the price.

The room was on the 2nd floor. There is a small balcony with a view to the road and petrol station.

The room is big and with plenty space.

View from the balcony towards the entrance door.

Bathroom with tub ...
... and shower.

Scandic Elmia Jönköping - Room 314

Scandic Elmia is situated opposite the Elmia fair and is a good choice if you have to visit the fair, however there's not much else to do. It takes appr. 10 mins by car to go downtown .

The room I stayed in was on the 2nd floor facing the fair and parking space.

The interior decoration is "standard" Scandic, light and Scandinavian.

An armchair and a small table is also available in the room.
The bathroom was not renovated. but worked OK and with a heated towel rail.
A shower with soap dispenser.
