art'otel Köln - Room 542

art'otel is appr. 5 mins in taxi from the trade exhibition area and if you prefer to walk, it takes appr. 15-20 mins. If you have some time left over the chocolate museum is next door.

The interior decoration was interesting compared with other hotels as you can see in the next pictures.

The washbasin was in the room...

In immediate contunation of the "bathroom" is the desk...

A choice of different toiletries available.

And choice of coffee/the available, indeed a nice way to start the mornng.

Toilet and shower was in a separate room though.

The room was facing the road but the traffic noise was not any problem. If you stay on a lower floor I would choose a room facing the water.

The internet access was free of charge for the guests.

Lindner airport is close Düsseldorf airport and shuttle service is offered by the hotel. There's a supermarket close to hotel and different food options if you don't want to eat the hotel restaurant.

The room is on the 2nd floor and is quiet spacious. Offered by the hotel is a bathrobe and a pair of slippers. Depending on your mood you can choose different kind of seating.

Plenty of hangers and storage to your belongings.

The bathroom has bathtub and shower (in one). As you might can see on the picture, there're soap/shampoo, kleenex and a hair dryer available.

You have to purchase internet access and the cost is around € 12 for 24 hours. Regardless, I will choose this hotel when I'm in the neighborhood, have been there several times before and enjoy the stay every time.

Scandic Sergel Plaza - Room 541

The hotel is located in the center of Stockholm very close to shopping centers as Gallerian and NK, The Old Town and other tourist sights. If you come from the airport with Arlanda express or with train from other parts of Sweden, it's a 5 mins walk from Stockholm central station.

It's a big hotel and has long hallways with rooms on both sides. The view from the rooms are also very different, some has a view over Sergel Torg and from others you look directly to the neighbors opposite (as mine)

The room was quite spacious with an addtionel seating area.

Two closets with extra pillows and an iron board. Also an empty fridge at your disposal.

Plenty of towels :)
A tub and heated towl rail and Lux soap dispensers in the tub and at the wash basin.

Park Inn (Solna) - Room 1031

Please read my previous review of Park Inn - stayed there in May 2012. The room had the same design as last time, except the beds were reversed.

The view from this room was a little bit nicer overlooking green areas...

and with a nice sun set...

Tulip Inn - Room 323

The interior decoration in the room was exactly the same as the one I stayed in before - see entry. The only difference was that this room was on the 3rd floor and the view from the room was over a corn field and the parking lot. More quiet on this side as there're no roads just outside the window.

Wireless internet, the first 60 mins are free of charge, then you have to pay depending on the period you want to be connected.

Scandic Grand Central - Room 4057

Scandic Grand Central is situated in the heart of Stockholm city and close to shopping, restaurants and Arlanda Express. Many of Stockholm’s most know attractions as “Gamla Stan”, the Royal castle and Vasamuseet are within walking distance.
The building is 130 years old and the hotel opened recently as a Scandic hotel. It’s a big hotel with many rooms and long hallways and there are many different types of room to choose from. The one I stayed in was a King Room.

At the working space you had the option to connect your PC/DVD etc. to the TV, a lot of different plug ins was available.

A big LCD TV at the end of the bed.

In the bathroom there was soap, shampoo and conditioner (not very often) and of course a hair dryer.

Scandic Copenhagen - Room 1455

Scandic Copenhagen is situated downtown, close to the central railway station and only 2 mins from Stroeget shopping street. All 18 floors have been undergoing a major refurbishment which was completed June 2012. The view from the rooms on the highest floor is magnificent, this is the view from my room on the 14th floor (overlooking the city and in the far distance you can see the bridge to Sweden)

The room is quiet big and besides the working space there was a small seating area close to windows, where you could enjoy a book and the view over the city:

In the room was an iron board, a small safety box and hair dryer. A LCD tv with Danish and international TV-channnels.

The bathroom was equipped with shower and soap dispensers

The wireless is always free of charge at Scandic :) - which a lot of other hotels could learn from.
